The Big 3-0 for Blair

On August 8, 2002, our family celebrated the thirtieth birthday of my cousin Blair.

Blair is the youngest of his (and my) generation. Since none of us have provided a new generation, Blair is the youngest member of my immediate family. It is sobering to acknowledge that the baby of the clan has turned thirty years old! No longer a child, Blair is now working as a freelance journalist specialising in Sports. He is entering a broadcast journalism degree programme at Sheridan College in the fall.

We gathered at a small Thai restaurant on Eglinton West. Blair had selected this location by searching the internet. The food was tasty and the company (of course) was excellent.

Here are some photographic highlights of that night and one picture that came later.

There are no young ones left Minutes later, a food riot errupted
Happy Birthday Boy

The Gang's (almost) all Here

Don't we look like such a classy family before the food is served?
Rani was still in England and so not available to participate; I was in my most attractive pose: behind the camera.

I think he's got his Mother's eyes We had to line up this way or the restaurant would have tipped over.
Proud Parents

(Not so young) Blair and his happy parents. Note the ubiquitous presence of Diet Coke™ on the table as at all of our family gatherings.

What a Contrast

Though he is the youngest, Blair is the tallest member of our family. Baba is almost the oldest and is also the smallest.

Now THAT's Hot!
Mmm mmm Good!

Blair enjoys spicy Thai soup.
