The Birth of Baby Bee Walters-Vida

At 7:04 am on Thursday, August 17, 2000, Heather and Ron became the very proud parents of a beautiful six pound, seven ounce, baby girl.

Known, for the time being as "Baby Bee", this lovely little person is healthy and happy to be alive.

Hannah has taken a keen interest in her new baby sister and makes sure that all visitors wash their hands and use care if they want to hold or touch little Bee.

For those of you aflutter with anticipation, the lovely Miss Bee was formally named Sophie Alexandra.

 

 

On August 19, 2001, I met with Ron, Heather, Hannah, and Sophie for brunch at Mel's Diner. This gathering was nominally in honour of Sophie's first birthday and, of course, the August 17th holiday.

We took a few photos and it seems appropriate to show them here, as Sophie has had quite a year of growth and development (note, especially, the cheek regions.
