The Marriage of Heather and Ron
|
On the sunny summer day of August 21, 1994, Heather Walters and Ron Vida
were married in a charming outdoor service held at historic McLean
House of the Sunnybrook Estates in Toronto.
I have known Ron since we started high school in 1981 and Heather since shortly after she and Ron met in 1989. They had been together for so long, and complemented each other so well, that seeing them take their personalised wedding vows was the most natural thing in the world. The secular service was performed on the grounds of McLean House where Ron and Heather invoked traditional elements of both their Jewish and Christian backgrounds without overshadowing the unique and personal nature of the ceremony. Their personal covenant was sealed as they pledged their commitments to each other through their own individual vows. As is the case with only the best weddings, the atmosphere at this gathering was relaxed and joyous; a true celebration of the formal joining of two lives that were clearly meant to be lived together in harmony.

was a beautiful summer day (if a little warm for those in dark suits) to
get married on the lawn in front of McLean House. |

Heather
seems quite happy to have successfully completed the formal portion of

JB Speaks
For some
reason, they let me speak to the guests. Against all odds, a microphone was even provided.
